With the energy cost continuing to soar, most people will have been grateful for the warmer temperatures of summer which meant they wouldn't have to pay as much to heat their house.
Most people will have been tempted to turn their boiler off over the summer months in an attempt to keep bills down. But boiler experts are urging Brits to turn their boilers on this summer or they could face thousands of pounds of bills in the winter months.While it may seem strange to switch the heating on during summer, experts at Boiler Central say it’s the only way to know if there’s a problem that needs to be dealt with.
“If you turn your boiler off at the beginning of May and don’t turn the central heating on again until the months of autumn, you may have trouble bringing your boiler completely back to life. This will affect appliances such as your central heating, hot water for your mains shower, and some washing machines that can take hot water from the boiler.
