It's easy to spend thousands more than you need to when buying a new motor
With the exception of buying a house, getting a new car is probably the most expensive purchase many families make and it's very easy to get it wrong. There's nothing worse than parting with your hard-earned cash and then finding out, a few weeks later, that your dream motor is turning into a nightmare.
In one of her latest videos, she explains that drivers who only use their vehicles to drive short distances are wasting their cash if they buy a diesel car instead of petrol. She said: “Number one, they’re buying a diesel car when really, they should be buying a petrol car.“If you’re doing 2,000 or 5,000 miles a year, you should not be driving diesel.
She continued: “Number two, they buy a car and they do not service it… ever. And then when something goes wrong, they expect someone to come out and pick up all the pieces like this should not happen to a car of this age. But did you look after it? No. It’s like anything in life.”
