A Suffolk councillor and his wife use children's toys and homemade signs to solve village traffic.

By Helen Burchell and John DevineA couple used handmade road signs and their children's walkie-talkies to direct traffic in their village when road closures caused long tailbacks.

He said he was calling it "the Isle of Burwell", as it was so difficult to get in or out of the village.Road closures in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, are adding to motorists' woes across the border in Suffolk "We had to enact community traffic management just to get it flowing," he told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.Mr London and his wife borrowed their children's toy walkie-talkies to communicate while directing traffic
