What time thunderstorms will hit Lancashire - and where ⛈
Lancashire is set to be hit by thunderstorms this afternoon with the Met Office warning of potential flood and lightning strikes.
The forecaster says there could be danger to life with a yellow warning in place across the whole of the county. That warning runs from 9am until midnight and heavy rain will fall for much of the day. Its warning states that people can expect rapid flooding of homes and businesses; damage from floodwater, wind or lightning; fast flowing or deep floodwater; delays or cancellations to public transport; difficult road conditions; and power cuts. It also says that some communities might become cut off if roads flood.
