The McKellar brothers were sentenced over the death of Tony Parsons on Friday.
The former fiancee of Alexander McKellar says the killer and his brother have escaped proper justice after they were sentenced over the death of a Tillicoultry charity cyclist.
Sandy had pleaded guilty last month to culpable homicide – having initially been charged with his murder. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison. She added: “Tony Parsons’ family have been waiting nearly six years to find out what happened and see a conviction. Addressing the McKellars on Friday, Lord Armstrong stated: “I have no doubt Mr Parsons’ family have been deeply affected by this.“The terms clearly indicate the profound, devastating and continuing impact your actions have had on their lives.“I suspect no sentence will ever be regarded as sufficient.”
The McKellars had been returning home to the Auch Estate at the time.The sick pair left him by the roadside and returned later in a different vehicle – having dumped their mobile phones. They then put Mr Parsons’ body and his bike in the motor, and drove to the Auch Estate leaving him overnight before later burying him.
