A festival celebrating all things song and sea returns to the Tall Ship Glenlee with something for the whole family.
On September 3, the rafters will be raised with rip-roaring songs of the sea along with stories and workshops for adults and youngsters alike.Storyteller Jan Bee Brown will be on deck sharing tales of female pirates on the high seas, and renowned shanty bands Kimber’s Men, Monkey’s Fist, Muldoon’s Picnic, and Alan Jones are on board to play their maritime tunes.and connect with sailors of old.
They have been making a splash lately after 27-year-old Scottish singer Nathan Evans racked up millions of views on TikTok for his version of the shanty song Wellerman.
