Everything Keir Starmer told us while visiting Blackpool including ASB pledge, regeneration funding and B&B crisis 'plan'
Kier Starmer has promised a huge increase in neighbourhood police officers to tackle anti-social behaviour during a visit to Blackpool today.
"We totally reject that. I think antisocial behaviour has a huge impact on people's lives. Whether it's an incident in the local chippy whether it's just people in Blackpool feeling 'I don't feel that safe going out after dark now, I'll just stay at home'. That's hugely impactful. Blackpool Central's £300 million regeneration project is underway. Will there be similar levels of funding available for other areas of Blackpool such as South Shore?
"We won't have this business of a pot of money in London, where somebody in London decides what particular things they're going to support, but actually that's the people of Blackpool have a proper say on this."
