Everton player ratings from Chris Beesley after the 1-1 draw at home to Brighton in the Premier League
Everton were stung late on as Brighton grabbed an equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park this afternoon.
The Blues secured an early advantage through Vitalii Mykolenko, who fired his team into the lead inside 10 minutes. Brighton then had a Lewis Dunk goal disallowed for offside in the first half. But in an end-to-end second period, the visitors stayed patient and eventually got their breakthrough. Kaoru Mitoma's cross was deflected off Ashley Young and beyond Jordan Pickford with 84 minutes on the clock.
Next up for Sean Dyche's side is Crystal Palace away, with a home game against Manchester United awaiting after the international break.
