His mum, Laura said: “It was Bertie’s idea, we had been interested in the idea of raising money for a good cause and Bertie and his dad are always watch people climbing Everest in the snow on TV programmes, so that’s where it came from.
“Bertie has big dreams of continuing his charity work and plans to tackle Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike before his 7th birthday.”Bertie, who goes to St Paul's School, Chipperfield, climbed the peak alongside his mum, best friend Isla, 8 from Bushey, Uncle Ed, and his dad Dan, who carried 3 and a half stone Arlo on his back all the way up the mountain.
