Unsafe concrete could be identified in more schools in the coming weeks, the Chancellor has admitted, but the government will “spend what we can to make children safe”.
He added: “Now, obviously, we might find new information in the weeks or months ahead, we will act on it. Asked whether 7,000 was a likely figure for schools affected, Mr Hunt added: “I don’t want to speculate on these numbers because I think that might scare people unnecessarily.”
