Gil Bourgade has been in charge since 2014 and was described as a 'kind, driven, and hard-working teacher'
An emotional video shows the moment hundreds of students and staff gave a guard of honour to a "wonderful headteacher" on his last day at school.
In the video posted to the schools Twitter page, Mr Bourgade can be seen walking out into the school ground to cheers from the pupils. At one point Mr Bourgade gets emotional and wipes a tear from his eye.As he walks further into the yard the claps and cheers intensify. Then suddenly Mr Bourgade starts running and high-fiving staff and pupils which delights the crowd.Paul Booth commented: "Lovely man. All the very best from our family. You’ve been a great leader for the school.
One person said: "Excellent headteacher, running an excellent school - all the best for the future." Andrea Cole said: "What an amazing goodbye I am sure he will be missed."
