Amit is hiding a dark secret from his sons… He seems like a smooth operator who is able to hold it together, but a dark secret is threatening to overwhelm businessman Amit Sharma in Emmerdale. He has arrived in the village following Suni’s discovery that cousin Jai is actually his brother. Amit has a lot of explaining to do, and is keen to make things up with Suni. However, when he arrived at Jai’s home that he shared with the man he thought was his dad, Rishi, Amit was left in a panic.

But Amit started to compose himself and tried to play down his symptoms. Suni wasn’t having it, commenting that he had never seen his dad lose control again. He also picked up on Amit declaring that he should ‘never have come back here’.
