Victor was accused of stealing Jai's family heirloom necklace and was confronted by Manpreet. Victor denied it and Claudette initially backed her husband before tipping out his pockets and finding the necklace.
Charles found his dad slumped over in one of the church pews and initially thought he was joking around before realising his dad was dead. Claudette soon entered and was trying to get Victor to go along to the police station before she too realised he had passed. Fans took to Twitter after the explosive scenes aired and theorised that Charles set his dad up for the crime. One wrote: “Well I wasn't expecting that. Good riddance. But charles obviously planted the necklace. #emmerdale.”
