Emmerdale fans have more than enough experience of Charity Dingle's antics not to be shocked. But on tonight's programme, there was a degree of hilarity at the subject of her latest romantic overtures.
Enter Liam , a man whose interactions with Charity have not at this stage taught him to take evasive steps. And although he had the look of a frightened rabbit when he agreed to the date, he looked smitten when the pair had their date at The Hide.Even though the scriptwriters have brought these two possible lovers together, fans are laughing out loud at the prospect.
Garry Enfield @EnfieldGarry was similarly stunned, posting on X, the site formerly known as Twitter: "Why is Charity on a date with Liam, so ridiculous. #Emmerdale" while Jamie @Jamie27A_ said: "The fact Liam and Charity are now dating is madness #emmerdale"
