Emmerdale fans jumped to praise troubled teen Marshall Hamston on Friday night’s instalment of the long running ITV soap, as he bravely stood up to his homophobic dad and called him out for his abusive behaviour.
Even more harrowingly, it was also revealed recently that Colin had been physically abusive towards his son, prompting Laurel to open her home to Marshall in order to offer him sanctuary. Doubling down on his comments after Marshall returned to the Sharma’s home on Friday, once again Colin tried to tell Marshall to leave and abandon his sexuality to live a lie instead, something which prompted the youngster to stand up to his father once and for all and declare that he “was home” with Jai and Laurel, and had no intention of leaving at all.
A second viewer also agreed as they added: “Well done Marshall - better a life of gay fun that all that religious God c**p!”
