Bond Street in Blackpool has been closed due to an unsafe building
This afternoon , Blackpool Council announced that an emergency road closure would be taking place in the town. This applies to the section of Bond Street between Rawcliffe Street and Dean Street.
It has been reported that the road is shut off to motorists due to an unsafe building. The closure will be in place until further notice.In place of blocking off the road, a diversion route will be in place. Blackpool Transport has informed passengers on Twitter, now known as X, that the closure will effect Service 18.
The post reads: "Service 18 - Road closed at Bond Street, diversion from Waterloo Road left onto the Promenade, left onto Station Road then back to the usual route. We apologise for any inconvenience caused." Announcing the road closure on social media, Blackpool Council's full post reads: "EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE.
"Due to an unsafe building, measures have now been put in place to close Bond Street between Rawcliffe Street and Dean Street until further notice. Diversion routes will be in place."
