Elon Musk seems to think that the BBC's investigation exposing issues of online abuse and child sexual exploitation on Twitter is one big joke 🙄
Another anonymous source told the BBC that the drain of expertise from Twitter said that the team of 20 people who used to work on tackling child sexual exploitation had been cut to just six or seven.
Targeted harassment campaigns aimed at curbing freedom of expression, and foreign influence operations – once removed daily from Twitter – are going ‘undetected’, according to one recent employee. At least half of Twitter’s 7,500 workforce have been sacked or chosen to leave since Musk bought the platform for $44 billion in October last year.
The employee also believes that Musk doesn’t trust his staff, which he says is indicated by the level of security Musk surrounds himself with.
