EastEnders’ actress Emma Barton swaps her Honey Mitchell Albert Square look for a ballgown as she prepares to star in Beauty and the Beast this Christmas season
BBC EastEnders' actress Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell in the soap, is set to appear in a magical new role. Emma, 45, can be seen dressed in a sparkling ballgown as she prepares to star in panto this Christmas.
She will be joined by comedian Noel Brodie who will play Louis La Plonk in the family favourite story of Belle, who finds herself imprisoned in an enchanted castle by a prince who has been transformed into a hideous beast by an evil sorceress. An insider said: "EastEnders pulls forward with filming for Christmas to get ahead. There is also a two-week filming break, so even if Emma misses a few weeks of filming, it likely won't have an impact on screen."
For Movie Week, which took place this weekend, James and dancer partner Amy Dowden paid homage to Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy.
