Jack then confirmed to Stacey Slater that Sam was the reason for his bad news, as she had revealed that she couldn’t make it back to the UK to meet her grandchild.Instead, Sam had sent a basket of goodies in her place, though this did nothing to make up for her absence in Ricky’s eyes. With Sam now not heading back too support Ricky following the birth of his daughter, we have been left wondering what it will be that brings her back to Albert Square, with actress Kim Medcalf having only taken an extended break.
