The centre have been running the initiative for the last two years now, but this year will be the first in-person event. The lunch will be hosted at the Bluevale Community Hall on 30 Abernethy Street. Kenny Trainer, project manager at Bluevale Community Centre, said:"With the cost of living and increased heating and lighting costs, it’s imperative that people have a place to go and get support on Christmas Day, especially when most other services close.
"This is a good thing for those out there who are vulnerable or may be lonely this Christmas to know they don’t need to be alone or go without Christmas dinner." .
