A man has been left with life-altering injuries after he was attacked with an axe.
A man in his 50s has been left with life-altering injuries after being hit in the face with an axe, police have said.
The man is being treated in hospital following the incident on the Cregagh Road in east Belfast just after 22:15 BST on Sunday. Police believe a number of people were gathered in a property in the area when the man was assaulted.
