Eamonn Holmes has left some people fuming on social media after dismissing the Lionesses achievements and suggesting they should not be given honours for what they have done
GB News presenter Eamon Holmes has been slammed after he made a dig about the Lionesses loss to Spain in the World Cup Final on Sunday.
Despite not clinching the trophy, the Lionesses have been a force of nature throughout both in their defensive strength and attacking capability. But the suggestion to recognise the players in the honours system left Northern Irish presenter Eamonn giggling as he dismissed the game's importance and the team's achievements.
In response to his comments, one person took to Twitter and said that he was a "sad and bitter little man".
