The North Belfast man made the comment after 'recent health and personal events'
Eamonn Holmes has given thanks for the "huge outpouring of affection from people" he has received during recent times.Eamonn also recently 'tumbled downstairs' and fractured his shoulder while recovering at home from major back surgery.Posting on Twitter marking his birthday on Saturday, December 3, the North Belfast man said: "Hello Everyone...
"I've done my best to say thank you and again I do today on the occasion of my birthday. [You are] all too good x." Also posting on Instagram, the 63-year-old said: "So my Birthday today [Saturday] and Mum's tomorrow [Sunday]. She passed away just two weeks short of her 94th but we shall always be joined at the hip. Saggitarians. Always too alike."
