An announcement is expected in November
Reports suggest the DWP could introduce more cost of living payments before the end of the year in a Government review of the support available. The review of the current package of funding measures is to see whether more financial support is necessary and affordable, reports CambridgeshireLive.
However, consumers still face paying more for energy due to the Energy Bill Support Scheme that paid £400 over six months no longer in place. Many have complained that they aren't getting enough help, with those on disability benefits receiving a £150 one-off cost of living sum in the summer. This is compared with three amounts of around £300 going to families on Universal Credit and Pension Credit.
