The Dutch Grand Prix was thrown into late jeopardy as rain poured down from the heavens causing the race to be red flagged.
The event at Zandvoort looked to be heading to an inevitable conclusion with another Max Verstappen win, but with seven laps to go, proceedings had to be halted.Drivers began entering their pit boxes for intermediate tyres, but were soon back in for full wets. Lewis Hamilton nearly ended his race by running wide at turn one, and then Alfa Romeo's Zhou Guanyu did exactly that, going full pelt into the tyre barrier to provoke race stewards into action.
