Vienna's manager Stephen Adams hit on the idea to protect his customers after they have had one too many, and give them the chance to enjoy the rest of the night.

Worse for wear punters at a Paisley nightclub will be given 'last orders' badges banning them from being served any more booze at the bar.

The idea is the brainchild of manager Stephen Adams, who also operates an undercover clubber policy to prevent spiking and Ask for Angela initiative to help female customers if they feel unsafe. He explained that security staff will identify those who have had one too many and alert the on-site medical team. If it is believed they are safe to stay, they will be issued with the badge, allowing them to remain inside with friends.

"It also means they can stay in the venue with their friends, as opposed to having to make their own way home, within the club there is our on-site medic there if needed, and from a safety aspect there are 20 stewards and 33 CCTV cameras, as well as having direct communication with emergency services.
