Police said he posed a 'serious risk'

A drug dealer has been jailed after he sped away from Nottinghamshire Police officers and threw items from his car in an effort to avoid arrest. Jordan Grant, 29, of Florence Avenue, Long Eaton, was jailed for three-and-a-half years at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, November 15.

Mobile phones and a bag of coins were all later recovered from the roadside. Police caught up with Grant following a foot chase - after the 29-year-old abandoned his car by jumping out while the vehicle was still moving.A bundle of heroin and cocaine was later found in the glove box of the Ford Fusion car.
