DRIVERS in a specific age group are being warned of new Highway Code rules which could pose "significant" risks to them.as new ones are brought in each year.One in five drivers over 55 admitted they haven't retained any knowledge of the Highway Code since passingResearch suggests not enough people pay attention to the new rules - with just one in 10 UK drivers admitting they would be able to pass a theory test retake.
Age Co, who conducted the survey, said the results were “concerning" as 52 per cent of drivers say they haven't read the code at all or can't remember it. Carolyn Hector, Director of Marketing, at the charity, said: “We conducted this research to uncover drivers' knowledge of the new Highway Code.
