Drivers at a Nottingham petrol station which recently slashed its prices have slammed the "ridiculous" effects of the cost of living crisis - with one man saying it has "blown him to pieces." On Friday, July 29, Asda announced it had cut its petrol prices, with it now 12p a litre cheaper than the national average.
It means drivers filling up at the Asda forecourts will pay 174p on average for unleaded and 185p for diesel. In comparison to the national picture, Government figures have shown the average petrol price to be 186.67p this week. With the average for diesel 195.91p Yet, despite drivers welcoming the drop, some at Hyson Green in Nottingham on Saturday, July 30, called out the 'disgraceful' money that people are still having to churn out for fuel.
