He was stopped by police
A drug-driver with an axe handle in his boot was stopped by police in Nottingham. The man was first spotted by officers when responding to reports of a road traffic collision when they saw a car parked in the middle of Hungerhill Road, St Ann’s.
After a quantity of cannabis was found in the suspect’s possession, police carried out a search of the stationary car. This then led to an axe handle being recovered from the boot of the car. “Driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is extremely dangerous and puts other road users at genuine risk of harm, which is unacceptable and should never happen for any reason.
