The Glasgow Times previously reported that South Street in Scotsoun had been shut down following a 'traffic accident' at around 6.55am.

Police have now confirmed that the road was closed to allow emergency services to attend the scene of a two-car crash close to Balmoral Street. A male driver from one of the cars was later taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. There are no reports of any other injuries as a result of the incident and South Street has since reopened.spokesperson said:"Around 6.55 am on Tuesday, January 31 2023, police were called to a two-vehicle road crash on South Street near to Balmoral Street, Scotstoun, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a male driver from one car has been taken to the QEUH for treatment ."South Street was closed between Balmoral Street and Harland Street to allow emergency services to deal with the crash.
