He narrowly missed pedestrians in the incident
The driver of a BMW smashed into a Daventry building before running off with the passenger. Northamptonshire Police said they are investigating the single-vehicle collision in the town centre and are appealing for witnesses and information.
At around 5pm yesterday, Monday, September 18, the driver of a white BMW M3 lost control of the car while in the 20mph-limit Tavern Lane, and was in collision with a lamp post and building - narrowly missing pedestrians. The driver and passenger in the vehicle then got out of the car and ran off. They are described as men aged between 20 and 30, one wearing a grey sweatshirt and the other a black sweatshirt.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Anyone who saw the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111."Please quote incident number 23000581541 when getting in touch to ensure your information reaches the right person as quickly as possible."
