Celebrate our unsung NHS heroes who are changing the face of care delivery in Scotland AD
We recently marked 75 years since the creation of the NHS, an incredible milestone. But the NHS would not be what it is, without the staff who work tirelessly day in and day out to ensure we’re able to provide healthcare for all. As we celebrate the NHS, it’s important that we recognise not only the hard work of our doctors and nurses, but of the unsung heroes working behind-the-scenes day and night who keep our services running to ensure we can deliver the highest quality of care.
As part of this work DrDoctor is working collaboratively with NHS Scotland to ensure patients have access to a patient engagement platform, that enables them to take greater control over the management of their own appointment pathway. Which, in turn, improves efficiency and helps to ensure patients are seen and treated in a timely manner, whilst also reducing the administrative burden for NHS Staff.
Exciting things are already happening. We have seen that patients are more engaged and digital tools have never been more broadly used, with a hybrid-first NHS now in sight. This is not only helping health professionals keep track of their patients’ records, but it is supporting vast processing improvements and motivating patients around Scotland to take control of their own health.
