Plumes of thick black smoke were seen billowing into the air
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended a house on Britannia Avenue in Wavertree on Wednesday, August 23. Fire crews were alerted at 3.04pm and on the scene at 3.12pm.
After the fire was put out, firefighters continued to hot spot the scene and crews checked the roof space and adjacent properties for any fire spread. They remained on the scene to dampen down the house and conduct safety checks on the neighbouring houses.
