Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville's wife Lulu was reportedly seen breaking down 'in tears' at a pub as she confided to friends about her shock marriage split from the actor.
The split was confirmed to The Sun by a spokesperson for Hugh, who lived with his wife in West Sussex, on Friday. Hugh and Lulu were friends as teens but their romance didn't blossom until they were both in their thirties, when they got in touch again and reunited, with the help of his mother Patricia.
He's also previously called his wife, who he married in 1998, his bedrock and anchor, praising her highly. In 2009, Lulu helped motivate him to lose weight and he hired personal trainers, losing a total of 16lb.
