Parents want to see the markings enforced

Concerned parents have called for new double yellow lines at a 'dangerous' junction to be enforced. The lines will be installed across a number of areas in Burton Joyce and are now in place outside the Burton Joyce Primary School, on Willow Wong at the junction with Mayfield Avenue.

Nottinghamshire Live understands that the measures are in the process of being enforced at the location to allow people to get used to the new restrictions. The narrow street outside Burton Joyce Primary School has yellow zig zag lines on the left side, and now it also has the new double yellow lines on the right side of Willow Wong.

Zulf Amin dropped his grandchildren at the school and said: "To be honest, I have never parked at this junction. I think it is very dangerous if people park here. The 67-year-old added: "Some people park on the pavement. It is hard for parents to walk their children to school when the pavement is blocked off."
