BREAKING: Double jabbed travellers returning from France will still have to quarantine
France hasn’t been added to the red list, but people will still have to isolate for 10 days upon their return
But after making a last minute change, the new rules coming into force on Monday simply won’t apply to France, it was announced this evening. France’s infection rate of 46 cases per 100,000 people is still well below England’s 336.7 per 100,000 as of July 15. The strain was first identified in South Africa over a year ago and was dubbed a ‘variant of concern’ by the World Health Organisation in 2020.
