Leicester will apparently listen to offers for James Maddison following relegation, and Newcastle are currently in the lead from Tottenham in the pursuit.
Maddison’s season last time out was one of the best of his top-flight career. Indeed, he scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 30 games for a struggling Leicester side.
Since the relegation, interest has ramped up. It’s looked for a while that one of Newcastle or Tottenham were the most likely to snare the Englishman.the Foxes ‘will now listen to offers’ following their relegation. That they secured Champions League football for next season is cited as a reason they’re in the lead. The deal is not cut and dried yet, though, withstating Spurs ‘may formalise their interest’ following the appointment of Ange Postecoglou.
