Steven Ling inflicted 'catastrophic' injuries on Mateusz Chojnowski in a Doncaster pub car park.
Mateusz Chojnowski, 28, died from injuries to his head, chest and abdomen, South Yorkshire Police said
Mr Chojnowski was found with head, chest and abdominal injuries in South Parade at about 04:20 BST on 2 July.During police interviews the father-of-four claimed he acted in self-defence after Mr Chojnowski attacked him with a key. Pathologist Dr Philip Lumb told the court: "Severe force had been used to cause these catastrophic injuries."The victim died in hospital after he was found injured on South Parade in Doncaster
