Doctors are urging people not to listen to health advice from the new Health Secretary

Dr George said that failing to complete a course risked the development of antibiotic resistance, which created “huge issues”. “It’s just medicine on the cheap. It’s a low-cost way of dealing with problems that need to be seen by somebody. So I think it’s a recipe for disaster. It’s just completely ludicrous.”She tweeted: “Listen to actual doctors: if you take antibiotics like they’re Skittles, you will cause antibiotic resistance. It will mean that antibiotics become useless when you really need them
