Disenchanted's Patrick Dempsey teases 'completely freeing' character change
Speaking toand other media, Dempsey, who plays Robert Philip, discussed the film's plot – which see Giselle and Robert's life in the suburbs turned upside down after Giselle wishes it to be more like a fairytale.
Following Gisele's wish, she accidentally transforms the town into a real life fairytale and finds herself in a race against time to put things right and save her family's happiness."Robert at the very beginning is very much the same, although he's kinda trying to balance, you know, life between his new baby and his other child," Dempsey said."Getting into the larger than life [aspect of the film] was completely freeing and really fun.
"I had a great time where I could work a little bit, do some sightseeing in Ireland, and work on the musical that was great fun with the singing and the dancing. So it was fun," he added. Dempsey also discussed his experience with singing and dancing in the upcoming film, revealing that he really enjoyed the process.
