The dentist says one vape is equivalent to 48 to 50 cigarettes
A dentist has warned of the effects vaping has on your teeth, and how it’s not the same as smoking flavour air. Dr Vikas Prinja, known as Thelondondentist on TikTok, posted a video explaining what the likes of GEEK and Elf Bars can do to your mouth and teeth.
In the 26 second-long video, he warned: “Smoking GEEK and ELF Bars are not the same as smoking flavoured air. Here’s what it’s doing to your mouth. “The liquid also has propylene glycol which absorbs the moisture out of your mouth leading to dry mouth. And this means higher rates of bad breath. The liquid also has vegetable glycerin which makes your teeth more sticky to cavity causing bacteria, leading to holes like this."
Earlier this week the UK government announced plans to ban disposable vapes in a bid to prevent children from becoming addicted. The decision will be revealed next week as part of a consultation with the Health Department.
