Awful news just in
Emergency service were called the Shevington area of Wigan at around 7pm yesterday . Officers said they were alerted to reports of a 'deceased body' on Kilburn Drive, which were sadly later confirmed.
A police cordon was put in place and a forensic tent was erected on the road. It remains in place this morning and crime scene investigators have also been spotted.Pictures show a forensic tent in place within the cordon and police vehicles are also visible on the road, the MEN reports. One resident said: "Police were already here when I got home from work at around 10.30 last night.
"At around 7pm yesterday evening officers were called to reports of a deceased body on Kilburn Drive, Shevington, Wigan. Emergency services attended and sadly confirmed these reports. "A scene is currently in place at the location and contained on Kilburn Drive with no disruption to the wider area. Police are working to identify the body and enquiries are ongoing, we are keen to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident."
