PSV dismissed Rangers in style to reach the group stage and De Jong breathed a sigh of relief after the rout in the Netherlands.

Michael Beale and his team were sent packing for the Europa League in some style as PSV delivered on their favourites tag, running out 5-1 winners on the night to advance 7-3 on aggregate - one year on from when Rangers eliminated them at the same stage last season. It's the first time they've made the competition proper in five years - a run De Jong is delighted to end.
“When we drew 2-2 again we thought ‘ah no, it’s going to happen again’. So we’re really happy we dominated today and gave the fans and the whole club a good result in the end. With PSV leading 2-0 on the night, James Tavernier halved the deficit and with 25 minutes still to play, there were hopes of a Rangers comeback. But they lasted only minutes before De Jong settled the nerves with his goal and the Dutch were comfortable from there.
