Prosecutors have been asked to re-examine a criminal case against disgraced footballer David Goodwillie.
Thomas Ross KC is also looking at options to bringing a private prosecution against 34-year-old Goodwillie and former footballer David Robertson, who were judged to have raped Ms Clair. The former Dundee United, Blackburn, Aberdeen and Plymouth player spoke in his first interview since 2017 last week. The striker claimed he was an "innocent man" and wanted to '"finally speak my truth" and move on with his life after several clubs pulled out of singing him due to fan backlash.
Goodwillie left Plymouth Argyle by mutual consent in the wake of the ruling and spent almost five years at Clyde, despite criticism of the club’s decision to offer him employment.
