Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers gives rare cancer battle update and hails 'indispensable' Si King
Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has issued a rare update on his cancer battle and hailed his 'indispensable' TV partner Si King.
Five months on from the cancer announcement, Dave told BBC Radio Cumbria that he was "doing all right" and said his friendship with 55-year-old Si went beyond being co-chefs. Dave reassured fans asking about his health battle that the chemotherapy was working.He said: "The very first week before all the treatment started you have a week of going round hospitals, it was enormous pressure on Lil my partner, but Si was the one who drove me around for a week.
Dave explained how he recently posted a video on his Instagram account thanking followers for their support. The post was inundated with "lovely messages", with Dave saying: "It’s encouraged me that it’s time to stick my head above the parapet a bit."
