Daniels and Cleverley appointed to lead coach roles for watfordfc U21 and U18 lead coach roles
Having announced his retirement from playing last month, Cleverley has taken over from Daniels with the Under-18 squad.
Academy Director Richard Johnson said: “We’ve got a great coaching team for the new season and the boys are really going to benefit from having so much knowledge in the building. Speaking about each coach’s individual attributes, Academy Head of Technical Development Jimmy Gilligan said: “Charlie has moved up to the Under-21s and he’s someone who had great experience as a player in the Premier League and now has a real thirst for knowledge and a hunger to want to develop as a coach.
“Armand has a great work ethic and understanding of the kids at this level, because he’s worked with them coming through, and I’m really excited to see what these four Professional Development Phase coaches can get out of our players moving forward.” The club previously played home games which weren’t at Vicarage Road at nearby Kings Langley FC, but this season they will be using the facilities at their training base – though that means supporters won’t be able to attend those games.
