The beloved actor sets the record straight about whether we’ll catch him in the forthcoming fantasy series.
based on the popular fantasy novels, fans immediately began speculating that some of the main cast from the original live-action films might return to Hogwarts., Radcliffe cleared up the rumours about whether he plans to step foot in his fictional alma mater again.
“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh, and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,” the actor said. Though Radcliffe confirmed he wouldn’t be wielding a wand anytime soon as the Boy Who Lived, the 33-year-old expressed his support for what’s ahead for the new adaptation.Advertisement
“I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world, and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it,” he added. Radcliffe, who starred as the self-sacrificing hero Harry Potter in the beloved franchise, last appeared in the film series in 2011’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.based on all seven of J.K. Rowling’s fantasy books about the young spell-casting wizard, sparking mixed reactions from Twitter users.
