Matthew Singleton was sentenced to 22 years behind bars and given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order
A 'dangerous sexual predator' who raped a young girl and uploaded vile images to the internet has been jailed for more than two decades.
The 35-year-old had three phones seized from his property. They revealed he had taken pictures and videos of himself carrying out the sexual offences against two young girls.Singleton was arrested and on September 28 last year was charged with 13 sexual offences including rape, sexual assault of a child and making indecent images of them. He was also charged with three further counts of making indecent images of children, the M.E.N reports.
He was sentenced yesterday for his crimes at Bolton Crown Court to 22 years behind bars. He was also handed a six-year extended licence period and given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. “Singleton is the worst kind of predator and we are grateful to the prosecution for ensuring that he will serve many years behind bars and will no longer be a threat to children. We would encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, or knows someone who has, to get in touch with GMP. We will listen to you and we will investigate.”
