Melanie Grierson collided into the family as they walked on a green man. The impact of the incident sent the mother onto the bonnet of the car and under the vehicle.
A dangerous driver has been convicted of ploughing her car into a mother and three children as they were crossing a road.
Grierson, of Carluke, denied causing injury by dangerous driving in October 2021 at Airdrie Sheriff Court. But a jury took just over an hour to unanimously find her guilty following a two-day trial. "I remember the car driving over the top of me and me screaming for it to get off me and I was unconscious.Grierson told Sabrina Baig, defending, her attention had been drawn to an ambulance coming up behind her.
In a statement through lawyers Digby Brown, the mother said: "This crash changed our lives in more ways than just the injuries and scarring.
